DVSA Ratings

DVSA stands for the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency and they are the government body tasked with maintaining safety standards on Britain’s roads.

The DVSA monitor every MOT station in the country and give them a rating (red, amber, or freen) based upon their compliance with testing standards and regulations. Our freen status means that we’re considered a low-risk station by the DVSA, a result of our history of good practice and reliability.

About the MOT Test

The MOT (Ministry of Transport) test is a vehicle safety and emissions test that was first established in 1960, and was originally an annual requirement on vehicles over 10 years old. Nowadays the test is a requirement on every car at its 3-year anniversary, and every year from then onwards. The test covers a number of potential faults ranging from safety checks to emissions, and a valid certificate is a legal requirement for any vehicle on a public road. The only exception to this rule is if you’re driving to a pre-booked MOT test.
