MOT Testing at Crescent Motors, Dunkinfield
We can always ensure an appointment - even at the last minute!
Here at Crescent Motors we're committed to finding time for everyone's MOT. Give us a call if there's not an online time available and we'll do our best to fit you in!
We've got 2 MOT bays and 3 qualified MOT testers on-site, as well as over 25 years of experience working in the Motor Trade. We hold our staff to the highest standards when it comes to MOT testing, which is why the DVSA have awarded us "Green" status as a testing station.
DVSA stands for the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency, and they are the government body tasked with maintaining safety standards on Britain's roads.
The DVSA monitor every MOT station in the country and give them a rating (Red, Amber, or Green) based upon their compliance with testing standards and regulations. Our Green status means that we're considered a low-risk station by the DVSA, a result of our history of good practice and reliability.
About the MOT Test
The MOT (Ministry of Transport) test is a vehicle safety and emissions test that was first established in 1960, and was originally an annual requirement on vehicles over 10 years old. Nowadays the test is a requirement on every car at its 3-year anniversary, and every year from then onwards. The test covers a number of potential faults ranging from safety checks to emissions, and a valid certificate is a legal requirement for any vehicle on a public road. The only exception to this rule is if you're driving to a pre-booked MOT test.
We offer free re-tests in the event that a vehicle fails its MOT. Call us or ask on-site for more information on our free retest policy.
